During the ceremony, Honourable Rachel Marshall-Taylor highlighted the powerful role of financial literacy in shaping young lives, stating, “This program represents far more than a competition it is a gateway to opportunity.” She emphasized that financial education empowers students to “make informed financial decisions, understand wealth creation, and see themselves as active participants in the global financial system.” Her remarks underscored the need to prepare students not only academically, but also for real-world financial responsibilities and future opportunities in fields such as finance, economics, fintech, and entrepreneurship.

Students began the program with USD $25,000 in virtual funds, guided by an AI tutor, Mr. Rabbit, who supported their investment decisions. Using real-time simulated data from the US, Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Guyana Stock Exchanges, students traded real listed companies in a dynamic environment. Success required mastering critical thinking, emotional intelligence (delayed gratification), discipline, and analytical skills, reinforcing that meaningful financial growth comes from knowledge and strategy not chance.
